The sun finally came out for the IFAF World Team as it held its pregame walk-through on Tuesday in advance of the 2012 International Bowl on Wednesday night.

The World Team worked out at the Kelly Reeves Sports Complex in Austin, Texas - the site of tomorrow's game - on Tuesday morning and spent roughly an hour going over special teams assignments and final reviews of offensive and defensive assignments.

The practice was the final of nine workouts over five days and World Team Head Coach Greg Marshall is pleased with where his team is on the eve of its match-up with Team USA.

"Things have gone extremely well. We've got a great group of players, very cooperative and enthusiastic. We've also got an outstanding group of coaches. I'm very impressed with the talent of the international coaches. Good people and great mentors for these young men."

Now in his third stint with the World Team, Marshall believes the international game has only gotten stronger since the International Bowl was launched in 2010.

"The level of talent the first year was outstanding. We had Jesse Williams (Alabama) and Bjorn Werner (Florida State). We had some great players. But I think one thing that's changed in three years is the level of international play. We had some outstanding players the first year but now we have more quality international players than we did in the past."

Development Team Scrimmage: The IFAF Development Team wrapped up its week of workouts with a controlled scrimmage following the World team walk-through.

The scrimmage was a 60-play offense vs. defense match-up with the offense earning a point for each first down and six points for each touchdown. The defense earned 1 point per series stop, 3 points for a turnover and 9 points for a forced turnover returned for a TD.

Neither team found the end zone during the scrimmage and the score was tied 11-11 after 60 plays at which point the ball was placed on the two-yard line for one sudden death play. The defense forced an incompletion to earn a 12-11 win.

Players who turned heads with their performance today included quarterbacks Mathias Soler (France) and Antony Auclair (Canada), wide receiver Simon Mathiesen (Denmark), linebackers Kevin Soler (France) and Fabien Seeber (Austria) and safety David Nader (Austria).
