ARGENTINA CROWNED CHAMPIONS OF THE SILVER BOWL VI

The Argentinean national team defeated Uruguay 3-0 on a 41-yard field goal on December 3 in the Silver Bowl VI.

The game took place at the Charrua Stadium in the city of Montevideo in front of more than a 1,000 spectators. The profits were donated to Teletón, a charity event that takes place in Uruguay every year.

Both teams featured dominating defensive lines. The Uruguayan offense did not have a very inspired afternoon as the quarterback threw four interceptions while the Argentinean offense was penalized several times and could not find much offensive rhythm.

The Argentinean running back, Alan Kritzer, was named the Most Valuable Player of the game.

Argentina U21 defeated Uruguay

The Argentinean U-21 team again defeated Uruguay 12 -0 prior to the Silver Bowl VI.

Argentina's linebacker Nicolás Bader returned an interception for a touchdown and fullback Gabriel Corsini, who was named MVP of the game, scored a touchdown.

This second victory for Argentina as the team also won in 2010.

Football Americano Argentina is a nonprofit association that promotes the practice of American football in our country.

It develops a league in Buenos Aires conformed by six teams in a Senior Category (Tiburones, Osos Polares, Cruzados, Jabalíes, Corsarios and Legionarios) and two in Junior Category (Aztecas and Coyotes).

Annually, the national team (Halcones) dispute several international games, the Silver Bowl is one of them, that takes place every year against Uruguay. This event is also played by the Sub 21 Halcones.
