True to its name, the 2012 International Bowl features players and coaches from a record 20 countries spanning five continents, making it the most globally diverse matchup in football history. This year's record number of 20 participating countries tops the previous high of 17, set in Austin last year.
The 2011 International Bowl featured current Texas Longhorns running back JOE BERGERON, wide receiver JAXON SHIPLEY and defensive back JOSH TURNER. A national team exemption granted by the NCAA allows high school seniors to play for USA Football and not have their participation count as one of two permitted all-star game appearances. The International Bowl is a national team competition, not an all-star game.
USA Football's national team program is supported by corporate partners Marriott, Riddell, Sports Authority, Rawlings, Gatorade, Upper Deck, Shock Doctor, St. Vincent Sports Performance and Cutters Gloves.
