The Federazione Italiana De American Football (FIDAF) was founded in 2002 and now has 50 teams playing in three divisions. A total of 10 teams in the A1 division, 14 compete in the A2 division and 24 play in the Arena (9-man football) division. Some teams are in the formative stages and do not yet play competitively.
